Last day of class! (clasa)**

We have pictures of us playing field day games, but I can't find any...and I was playing so i didn't take any pictures. Hopefully TBP.



We had the one and final last day of training. We had a little bit of language class, and then we had a "field day" which to many at home may sound confusing, but we all know it.

It was a day where we had PE games such as: 3 legged races, wagon race, red rover (where in romania we say instead of "red rover, red rover, send blah blah on over" --> something like "country country send a soldier over," "which soldier?" "blah blah")

It was a fun bonding experience, and since I paticipated in most, I didn't get any pictures.

I have some more fun pictures to post up, but I am on a mission to 1: send out flat evan back to san diego, 2: find the maxi taxi station because some people and I want to go to an abandoned salt mine this weekend it's called Slanic, and it's going to be a fun day trip, and 3: I need to get going because I leave on Monday on Tuesday and I have some things to organize still.

P.S. Hey you people from Group 25, thanks for reading and commenting on this blog, and I am so willing to share more information with you'all, BUT (and I'm warning you that you will be hearing this about 100 so times during PST) I don't to ruin all the surprises for you all. Part of coming here to is to be surprised, and if all is known, then where's the fun and anticipation, etc..

I also have yahoo messenger, which most people in Romania use too, why not AOL you ask? I thuoght about this yesterday and think, what does the acronym of AOL spell?

POINT: for your own sake, future PST coming to Romania, you should stop reading my blog until a few weeks into PST or even until after PST. After PST, it will all be the same.

Plain old day and Important Romanian Info!

Calvie and I are having a chill time. I pick him up from school, we do chores (like moving pieces of garden shed out of the minivan), and then he plays his maple story while I do stuff on my computer (peace corps and email stuff), then we both make dinner and eat it over a movie, then he and I clean up and get settled down for bed. If he has lots of hw then I take over a bit more chores but he's really honest about helping out (cause he loves his big sister!). I also talked to Amelia on and off throughout the day.

Tickets:
I just checked the price for round trip tickets from San Jose (SJC) to Romania (BUH or OTP) and...depending on what season you go, I found tickets for about ~$600 to $2000. Peak prices were in the summer time and lowest prices were in winter and spring. Traveling from country to country in Europe is cheap! So make sure to visit other places too!

Vacations:
I have 2 days of vacation a month, so 24 days a year to go travel. I can travel home to the US or travel to another place, like in Europe.
I can easily take 1 week of vacation off at a time, but I need to ask permission to take extended vacations.

I cannot go on vacation before August 18th, 2008 (6 months after I start PC) and after February 6th, 2010 (3 months before I leave PC). The reasons are related to training and settling in.
